roof rack removal

im looking in to shaving the roof rack on my t-hoe and was wondering if anyone knows if i have to take out the headliner. if anyone has done this please respond

YES YOU ARE GOING TO NEED TO REMOVE YOUR HEADLINER TO SHAVE IT.

i just took the screws out on my burban but the holes are still there ! it just came off there is some black stuff on there but it came off with a few washes
