MINI-TRUCKS are a trend much like skate-board shoes.

you grow up and realize there's cooler things to build.

if you ask me it isnt the truck or whats done to it that makes you cool or this sport fun, its the people! That is the only reason I drive to so many out of state shows....to see the people. I say wait till show season starts back up, hit a few shows then see how you feel, i bet you get the bug back in ya!

I wanna finish my truck but then again I dont. If i lived somewhere else where smog wasnt and issue then i would probably finish my mini but since i live in CALI, smog laws prevent me from doin what i want with it and still keep it legal to drive on the road.

Get out of the slump your in, it sucks I know I have been there too.

It is just a phase. I went through that about 5 times during the build of my truck. I would just put it away. I have been working on it for about 5 years and I am still working on it, hoping to have it featured in MT in a few months once all the detail work and new interior is complete. It does take a lot of time and money, but to have people break their neck seeing you drive by is worth it now. Have I spend too much on it?Yes...will I ever get that money back? No. Most of us do not build it to sell it for more. We do it out of love for the hobby. Many hobbies are enjoyable and many people do not see a monetary profit. Mini trucking is a lifestyle, don't worry about how long it takes. I just got mine bagged after 5 years. Keep your head up. You will get it done eventually.

....and I live in Cali. See if you can find someone to "hook you up" with smog.

Thanks for all the help guys. I made a photoshop of how it might look when bagged, and its enough to make me want to continue with the build. It just sucks that its going to take a while for my money to build back up. I started it, so I guess it's only right that I'm the one to finish it. Thanks again guys.

I will tell you what I did.As you can see my truck is overwelming big to completely tear apart..Every panel, glass wiring, motor chassis, everything.

I wanted to give up many times.

When I seen Big Jakes suburban rolling in Gville down the highway cruising for everyone to see..I was like WOW..I was floored by that truck..I had already bought mine and it was there all stock.Dewd was a pimp rolling 2 inches off the ground with all the NC boys in it windows down.Looked Killer. Then his suburban came out in Streettrucks..and once again I thought to myself..that is what im going to do..My whole goal was to make in in Street Trucks magazine. I built the whole truck for that purpose. That was just a goal of mine to keep so it would give me insperation to FINISH it and not give up.Well for the first time I finished this truck 100% and got the offer from ST the 2nd day it was finished to shoot it.However..Since I knew I could have it then I did wait 1 year later and came back with new wheels, new motor, some new interior and misc changes.I can say when I seen Courtney shoot it..It was prolly the happiest moment of my life right under my daughter being born. Dreams come true..Dont give up.Someday you will open up your mailbox and have your dream come true.

Aww enough of the sappy shit..Time to be a asshole again..meh
