I know very little about pinstriping and want to get a set to try it out but I don't want to spend a lot of money on something I may not stay with. I'm really not looking to spend more than $50 or so, also what kind of paint do you use when striping? I have heard good things about 1shot.
just get some cleaning supply's, reducer, and an old magazine and ur should be ready to roll...

you use the glossy magazine pages to thin out the paint and i would recommend practicing on glass. when youre finished and the paints dry, you can just scrape it off with a razor blade.

thanks for the good ideas also how do you clean the brushes? do you use a reducer? also should the 1shot paints be thinned or do you use them straight out of the can?
You're on the right track, except, you said"you might not stay w/ it gotta feel the love...even when you get pissed at first.... one shot is good to work with. Use a med. to slow reducer, (in a seperate cup, to wet the brush)...Don't try to clear over it, though. It'll wrinkle. Glossy magazines don't absorb the solvents as quickly. so that's why they're nice. mineral solvents, clean up "junk enamels" easily. AND. When yer done. Use a "Brush conditioner" (or even a drop of tranny fluid) to work into the brush...to make it last. P.S. Pick up one of the "how to" books at your local bookstore. P.P.S. STICK WITH IT!

if you go on ebay you can get a 5 pack of 1shot for 25 and then get some mack 00 brushes and any other reducers you may need and you would be spending about 40 total.
