sup im albert im from baytown,tx and just recently acquired a bagged 1990 chverolet 1 ton ext. cab dually with a 454 and a 3 speed auto which i know can be changed for a 700r4...im new to dually's and want to find out as much as i can about these trucks...heres a few pics..

WELCOME

Skidrow is our resident 700r4 expert. You may want to look at a 4l80e swap instead, more expensive but IMO better in the long run.

Nice lookin truck.

What Husk said. The 700R4 wasn't factory-installed in anything heavier than a 6200GVW "light duty" 3/4 ton. Everything heavier got the 4L80E. And I'm not just sayin that because I have a good one for sale.
