I dont know of any stripping and cleaning chemical but theres a product called Rust Morte or something like that which is applied to areas were there was rust. Its just a spray bottle so it will be easy to spray once you blast the frame. I soaks in and turn the areas of rust black. I guess it stops the rust from forming and coming back. Sorry i know it probably doesnt help much but something to look for once you strip the frame to keep it clean for a long time.

grinder or wire wheel I used 2 wire wheels(the twisted wirekind) on my entire frame. it takes a while but damn it works.

if its got some undercoatin on it, brake cleaner will take it right off, umm you could strip it down complelty and have it acid dipped.

Grud thug, and some laquer thinner and a scraper to get the factory goo off the frame. But a crud thug will really come in handy with stripping your frame down. I have pics of a frame off restoration we did on my bosses 70 Chevelle, if you want to see what the frame looked like and how it looks now I would be more than happy to post them up, let me know.

when i worked in restoration we used OSFO rust converter from the hardware store. It works great you just wash the surface first, power wash if avail. then spray it down with this stuff , wait about 20 minutes and just use a scotch brite pad to remove the rust. Good thing about it is that you can prime and paint over it.

How much does the acid dip cost? Like if I wanted a 64 impala body doen..just an estimate..and do they prime it also? Doesnt it have to be primed immediately after to keep from surface rusting again? I would travel to ga no problem..
