Actually, the only part that you can't get for a VIAIR for rebuilding purposes is the armature (internal compressor motor). In most cases, a replacement of a flapper valve or a piston seal will fix a tired compressor that's not pumping, or not pumping like it used to. In some cases, you may need a new piston assembly, new bearing, piston cylinder wall, thermal overload protector, carbon brushes, bolts, etc. ALL of these parts are available, making VIAIR compressors very much rebuildable. Keep in mind though that you can only rebuild a compressor until the motor is worn out - then you must replace the compressor itself.

VIAIR doesn't necesarily advertise that their compressors are rebuildable. All VIAIR pumps undergo life testing and will last quite a long time when installed and used within their capabilities. Please contact VIAIR if you have any questions. We'll be glad to help in any way we can.
