Picked up a pretty straight old-skool mini, it's a 73 HiLux. I just have a dumb question. I'll eventually bag it all the way, but I work for a living, so what I wanna do is, bridge-notch the rear, throw in some bag-over-axle brackets, and bag the ass on mono-leafs w/these blocks I've still got laying around. In the front I wanna clip a couple coils and flip the balljoints. I eventually wanna swap to an 89-95 F clip so i can run tube arms and disc brakes in the front...
1)Can I flip the balljoints on a coil spring suspension?
2)I know it's a good idea... but... if I don't box the frame when I do this, will it pretty much destroy it? I'm just trying to avoid mass downtime, as it's been 2 months now and the damn thing still hasn't seen the road.
