uh maybe its me but like what? if you want suicides the best kit for the money is by far suicidedoors.com

i want that clean look though see if anyone knows where to get it or how to make them please tell me.

yeah i think they are to but i want to make them at least i love how clean the door jam's look.

those are defiantely gonna have to be fabbed. to make those they work like a regual suicide hinge but you will need a bender that rolls the tubing through it to get the continuous bend. all the bends will have to match perfectly to make the hinges work otherwise your doors will bind. also the tubing will have to be very thick so the side walls dont crinckle when they are being rolled. the bender costs about 2500.00 for a cheap one. i would not recommend jasons kit. i would look up a company called southern rods and they can get you a traditional kit for about 200 less than jason at suicide. also they are not for light hot rod doors. they were designed on an old merc. those doors weighed upwards of 250 lbs. loaded up

What is wrong with Jason's kit? Its also only 400 bucks. You're saying a kit for 200 is far superior?

Thre isd a guy in Lakeland , FL that builds suicide doors exactly like that. His name is Lee, and he owns Absolute Customs. He does amazing work, If I didn't do all my own work, I would use him.

the hinges are probobly suicidedoors.com or autoloc's. the clean up work around the hinges is custom and looks damn good in those pics. but that stuff you can't just buy, takes some fabbing.

Modification of the Month

Here's a different take on a modification that people have been doing for decades. It's a '98 Chevy S-10 that's received the suicide treatment by Lee Phillips, owner of Hotridesmag.com. All of the one-off parts were built and designed by Lee, and consist of hinges that are cleaner and stronger than some other kits, since they don't connect to the doorjamb for support. The hinges are made of 5/8-inch-round rod that protrudes through a frenched slot in the door. The doors still swing the full 90 degrees.
