I had a set of Wanli 1099s tires before I sold my 20's and I had no problems with them. My inner fenderwells kept tearing up the sidewall pretty bad when I would hit a bump and I never had any problems.
they have a really bad tread rateing, loke 200 or some small number like that. what i would recomend is finding all teh tires in the size you want, look at the price and the tread rateing. then divide the rateing by the price and it will tell you how much you are paying for the tread life, ao inturn, it may be bette rto buy a more costly tire if you end up getting a longer lasting tire, i bought a set odf 18's of ebay for 350 they are ulrta brand, and they had a tread rateing of 380 compared to the wanli and nanking that were around 280 for about the same price, when shopping for cheap tires just keep that im mind, loook for a high tread rateing so you getyour moneys worth
i ran 205/40-17 Wanlis on some 17" Esca wheels thru NJ roads and they held up great, i was super happy with them, esp since i only paid $45 ea on ebay..
mine are also seperating on the inside wall really badly
I ran some on 17s and they worked great and lasted a long time. I got mine from Les Schwab. Maybe there is a difference between the Ebay and tire store quality. They could be factory seconds or blems?
They do create a lot of tire noise. It was a noticeable change going from Wanli to Toyo Proxes4s.
i had a set of wanli 20's (255/35/20) on my explorer and i never had one problem with them and i bought mine on ebay .....i sold the truck since so i dont know how they wore after but after about 7-10K miles i never had any complaints....
