I was wondering if 3/16 would be thick enough for rear bag brackets? if not what i should use. thanx

1/4" is better! depends if its gusseted properly

lets not get into this arguement again.

3/16 is fine. stuff was made out of that for years, like 15 in this sport before SD started using 1/4 and now its the only thing to use.

Hell funny cars use 3/4" OD link bars and they take more abuse then any 1.5" OD 1/4" ID 4 link we use in this sport! (no i'm not saying go use 3/4" tube, geesh)

Depends what type of bracket itll be also, 1/8" is fine (circle plates) if its for a cup type bracket.. otherwise 3/16 or 1/4", all depends on what exactly you're doing, and how it's gusseted.

what type of bracket are you making?

3/16 is more than enough. you could use 1/8 if its welded and gusseted right
