what kind of paint do you guys noramlly use when painting a header? Do you just use the high temp engine paint you get at autozone or what? i need to find one for my mitz and for my maz and paint both of them...

Most likely any engine paint or anything from Autozone is just going to flake off after a few heat cycles. Best bet would be to have them ceramic coated or something of the sorts.

how about powder coating? will that hold up to the temps?

HEY BLICTH I'VE SEEN EXHAUST PAINT BEFORE AT LIKE ADVANCED AUTO. I USED IT ON MY OLD CAR AND IT HELD UP JUST FINE. I THINK ITS GOOD FOR LIKE 800 DEGREES OR SOMETHING. -JASON AA N.GA.

you can have it powder coated with a high temp powder!!!

por15 has high heat header paint in i think 3 or 4 different colors.

powder coating is only good upto 800 degrees headers can get hotter than that so i recemend ceramic coating them.

I have powder coating for headers that is 1000 degree rated.
