yeah the wire you used for taking probly holds 80,000 psi.tensile strength,i read it in 1 of my welding books i could be wrong,they look like they penetrated good

how do you know what wirei used?

that 3m 8115 is a little expensive to be using it as a seam sealer on some tubs....

what do you mean the outside is ground smooth?? you welded the complete outside? and theres no penetration.... Weld that thing shut.. why not it will take an additional 10 minutes and there will be no questions afterwords

most of your mig wire is "black iron" carbon steel wire,unless your tubs are aluminum,or hascalloy,or SS.probly the .35 wire right??or .30??

i agree,but do stich welds,work you way up to the top,(do 1/2" on right side let cool,move to left and do 1/2" weld let cool, and so on and so on)
