i did it with a toyota clip. dont know if that is what you are looking for. check my profile, or on my main page click on the rendering to get to my photobucket build up of the truck.

I slid the 2x3 as far forward as I could into the stock front clip until it started to angle up. Then I used a couple pieces of 1.5x1.5 on each side to add some extra bracing and tie the 2x3 into the front clip further up for some internal support. Then I plated the sides and top with 3/16" Plate. I used big c clamps to curve it to the frame as I welded. I think it turned out pretty good.

heres mine john...

i got the 2x3x3/16 cut and angled up inside the frame and welded and gusseted and the outside pieces are 1/8" fully welded so it aint going nowhere... Trusty bud light templates

yea i built the table out of some scrap 4x4x1/8". John you did a great job on yours man! when i do another one ill try to use more of the stock frame and plate it like that. Mines coming along fine but theres some stuff i will prob do differently next time. Cant be a pro on the first time i guess...
