k check this, this might help, when I replaced the guns on my welders ( long story but this idiot i call a friend ran over both of em pulling his truck in )anyways he put the gun in my millermatic 175, and when he did, he put it in slight not all the way in and slightly turned.well on the miller guns its got those holes on the gun that your supposed to turn up to line up with that little clear hose that the gas is coming through into the gun !your problem might be your gun not being in far enough for that to line up with it or you do have it positioned to get the full pressure of the gas to run through the gun
almost almost certain thats your problem cause what is happening to you is what happend to us before i figured that out.
so give that a shot and let us know
