ive just tried my hardest to get a job at a body shop any way i could (i even offered to work for free while i learned everything) hard work now a days doesnt get u shit anymore its all about connections and degrees if you havent blwon 30g on an education your stuck working as a fry cook so now im stuck with trying to get rear ended by some company truck and faking an injury

are you done whining? You can get a good job with out a degree, you just have to APPLY yourself a little bit more... so you went to a few auto body places and offered to work for free... were they even hiring? perhaps just a FEW autobody classes at the local community college will help.

Maybe I'm just an asshole, but I don't see why your wilingness to work for free means that anybody should want to teach you a trade. I guess from my point of view the payback wouldn't be worth it, spend a bunch of time teaching you shit when I'm most likely on a commission basis and time really is money. You're right about connections, you need a freind willing to teach you enough to get a job or you need to go to school and get a certification that will make someone want to trust you with their customers vehicles.
