Who makes there own uppers

who has made there own ...was it hard ....should i just buy some

also if u mount the bags on the uppers do you get more lift

I made a set for a truck that I'm putting together. It really depends on your skill level and experiance working with steel. I made a jig to bend and weld them in and could duplicate them in the future now if I wanted. There is some basic design work involved as well to set the balljoint angles right for the aplication and any length changes to alter camber or trac width etc. I made mine with 7/8 3/16 wall DOM tube and 1/4 thick steel for the ball joint plates. I milled a 1/4 inch slot in one side of the tube for the ball joint plate to slide into as well. I think that they turned out pretty good for my first set. I will try to get some pix up to show you.
