one of my good friends ordered a chevy bowtie style billet rearview mirror on ebay, I'll post the sellers store name asap when he comes over and logs in.. so it could be a warning to anyone else they could do this to.
anyway, the rearview mirror pictured has the windshield mounting part, and the shaft with the swivel ends.. well it didn't come with that. he emailed the seller 3-4 times now since, and no response. He got the mirror back before christmas, so he figured it was the right thing to do to leave a negative feedback. Still no response since that either, so does he go through ebay or paypal to get his money back/or get the seller to send the rest?
ive never dealt with this on ebay.. so any suggestions, i wanna help him. thanks

If it's within a certain time limit, PayPal can reverse the transaction, and you will get your money back. Call them.

there is a link for just such a thing, it's on ebay under the help section. i remember when i though i was gettin ripped off too i started to do some research to find out what to do. but a few weeks later i got my stuff. but yes, they have things you can do about it, and try to keep getting ahold of the store and askin about it. most the time the "stores" are the best ones to buy from because it's more then just some dude sellin shit, and they're much more reliable. try to keep getting ahold of em though

Keep any and all communication you have had or tried with this person and send to Ebay and Paypal. All Paypal transactions are insured against fraud. Go to the Paypal homepage and click on "Security Center" and yes, go to Ebay's Help page. Just remember to check their feedback rating before attempting business with them. I have had all smooth tranactions through Ebay, but there's always the first time to get burned. Good luck.

if you dispute trans on paypal by filing a complaint, they will only give you the money back if the seller has anything currently in his acct. If they have already cleaned the paypal acct then you are screwed. I found that out the other day...

file a paypal claim, and if you paid on cc through paypal call your credit card company.

if he likes the mirror why dont he just buy the window piece at a local parts store? its like 10 bucks... i just think that for that little window piece my time was worth more then the 10 bucks and i could put the mirror on now..
