Im wanting to put a Parellel 4link on my blazer from suicide doors. Im gonna be using bags on the bars(is this safe?). Im wanting to use slam RS 72s for my bags all the way around, Anyone have any pics of a P. 4link with bags on the bars. Im gonna need enough lift to go above 20s.... Thanks alot
what you scared to cut the floor up
scared??? Naw! ready to start cutting yes! I just want a good bit of lift because of my drive way is perty rough. I just need to know if i can mount them on the suicide doors bars. I want to be able to have hella lift just so i can hit some wicked sides, and still be able to give it a lil bit of hell.
than you want a super lift pivot kit with the bags mounted on the bars
Well i was really wanting to go with the Parallel 4 link for more of traction issues, I've read that there alot better than the 4link that is Triangulated. but I was sorta leaning towards the super lift pivot kit. The 4link on suicide doors seems strong enough I just was wondering if it had ever been done before. Thanks for the reply's
i know SD sells bracket/gussets that go on a link bar to beef them up. that might help. i have a tri 4-link with bags over axle, im gonna redo it with a setup like your talking about. i need the traction with the new motor i got, and the ride quality was horrible with BOA and tri 4-link.
ive never seen it done, but i know that the SD bars are definately beefy enough.
if i were you, i owuld probably run the p. 4, a watts link, and for the lift, probably rearward facing bars with dogbones with the bags mounted in those. (like the SD 5 links, and i think KP components 6 link)
that would give you hella lift, nice ride, great traction, and with the watts, keep your axle centered at all ride heights. and dont forget to run shocks on it. with bags on bars, youll get wheel hop like a mother without them.

This is what a buddy of mine is considering doing to his 02 dodge ram but hes going to put a 440 in it. So he will need some traction...
LOL well the motor started out as a 440 but hes getting it redone to something crazy.
hey man. there's not enough room under there for a parallel 4-link. if i were you, i'd just get some uncut unwelded bars.. get one set of squares and one set of rounds.. if you put the bags on the lower bags, you will have to dish out the side of the framerail with some large tubing and box in the inside of the framerail to give it strength back. if you dont want to go this route, you can put them on your upper bars, but it's gonna take up a fair bit of space into your cabin. if you're not worried about putting a backseat back in, then you might wanna go this way.
