anyone know if there is a way to release the seatbelt tension after a wreck

alot of the new seat belts have an axplosion just like the bags so they lock up right away that prob what happened they dont need to be worn just have to be sitting in the seat

we just fixed a seat belt that was stuck because of a rollover but we took the plastic off the side and messed with the pendulum a little bit and they it works fine now. the other 2 we got by with hitting them and they work now also
