used chevy 350 blocks are the most common, ifyou look for one, you can find it for a few hundred bucks at most, then build it up with go-fast goodies.

try a1autorecyclers.com, they have alot of late model engines and they are very good about checking them out before removing the from the vehicles, they will give you all the specs on the engine (oil and compression psi)ask for allen.
