biggest problem ive seen is not all of the hinges out there open the door far enough to clear the cab corners. in other words the doors dont open as widely as they could.its all in the particular hinges you use.

and another thing i have seen is that alot of them sag but i dont know if its done porrly or the hinges just aint strong enough i just think its the hinges

alot of ppl dont reinforce the cab well enough for the doors to swing backwards, and id suggest deadboltin the doors if u suicide em... kinda like a back up safety.

Go with the colorodo customs hinges, I have them on my site or of course you can find em at SUICIDEDOORS.com
you get what you pay for, and you definitely want quality in a mod as major as that.

the only thing is that they are soooo easy to make now that i have a set. i plan on disassembling them and drawing out the parts in cad or solidworks just to have refrence if i ever decide to make a set. very simple components.

They are very simple in design, hell, it's just a hinge.... but people fuck em up all the time trying to do em themselves.

I did a Mustang once and the lip of the door was so big it was past the pivot point of the hinge causing the door to not open at all. I had to add metal to the hinge to push the pivot point back to make it work right.
