I still have quite a bit to do still. Hafta redo the arm goin to the spindle with a different bushing, Gueest pivot points and the arms themselves, Gusset lower mounts, Shorten the lower control arms and lengthen the trailing arms. But im done with school next week so i got it done enough so i can get it onto a trailer and get it back home.
What you guys think?

how thick is the plate you are using??? and is tha pivot point going to be strong enough?

cool concept. that pivot bar just welded to sheet though seems a little bit iffy.

he says he is going to gusset it, but i'm still not too sure about it. maybe run a tube section from side to side???

isnt that gonna put alot of side pressure on that arm..since u have a 90 on it

Where the pivot is welded to is 3/16 flat stock. The arms are 1/8 flat stock. Lower mounts are cut out of 1/8 flat stock and where they are welded to is plated with 1/8 flatstock. All the round tube is 1 1/4in dom .120 wall. Im gonna gusset the pivot with more tube and gueest the lower mounts too. Nothing is welded to just sheetmetal though. Everything has been plated better than they plate the cars when they weld cages inside them. All of my teachers say it is plenty strong and the back of the car weighs nothing
Heres a couple more from before
Im gonna redo the mounts on the top of the cylinders. I just had to get somethin good enough to get it onto the trailer cuz i hafta take it home saturday.
You guys still think its not gonna be strong enough?

i would make a crossmember, kinda like a shock tower brace. make everything inline over the wheels and axles, in the trunk, with the cylinder in the middle of the car. and flip the cylinders over with the rod pushing up to prevent the lines from moving around.
thats what i was gonna do on my s2000, but now its gone.

ohh its a lot different than that now. I made some bag plates and a lower bracket so i could run bags instead of cans. Then built the arms out of tubing.
I still have a problem tho. I need a bushing like the suicide doors super pivot ends but i need it to be a lot bigger to fit over the mount on the spindle. A 3/4 heims wont work. Its like .40 thousands too small or some dumb crap. Anyone know if i can get somethin like that anywhere?
