i remember seeing a shirt a while back that had a pic of Von Dutch picking his nose on it, and the caption was "The Real Von Dutch". i wanted it so bad, but know i cant find it

if parents knew the real von dutch was a alcoholic that suffered from mental illness, was strung out on pills, and made guns wouldnt let thier kids have the merchandise

You know what pisses me even more than all the stuff they come out with??
The people that actually go out to walmart to buy a Von Dutch (or any other big name in an "underground" scene) don't know shit about the guy...they all buy the stuff 'cause it's "trendy" or 'cause the logo is cool. That pisses me more than all the shit that comes out in the stores. Any ways, we can't do anything about that except admire the guy for what he did.

The people that actually go out to walmart to buy a Von Dutch (or any other big name in an "underground" scene) don't know shit about the guy...they all buy the stuff 'cause it's "trendy" or 'cause the logo is cool. That pisses me more than all the shit that comes out in the stores. Any ways, we can't do anything about that except admire the guy for what he did.

believe me, i feel ya there too. anyone that knows me knows that i carry all my pinstriping supplys in the truck of my car including this toolbox that has most of it in it. u would not believe how many people notice that when i open my truck to get something else out... whether it be friends, family, or another customer.. they always notice it "hey, that's cool, that looks like the von dutch t-shirt i got..." just statments like that are what gets me. i know damn well that they have no idea who he was or that he was even an artist, they know him because they wasted $50 on his hat. It's total bullshit...

Douggy, if its a customer, you now know that if they can afford a $50 trucker hat, then you can make a lil extra $$ off of him...just for being a douche bag. haha
when my truck got ass-ended (4 days after wleding my calicombo on mind you...still bare metal w/ WD-40 on it) my buddy tagged the back with a flying eyeball. looked pretty killer for freehand rattle can. this d.bag that lived next door to my ex was like, "wow, that guy must REALLY like Von Dutch Jeans..." it took a lot not to punch him in the face right there...
