2000 2.2 in a 1995 s-10
i have a 95 s-10 blew the 2.2 and bought a 2000 2.2 thought i could take my 95 intake and out it on the 2000 but it wont fit...does any one know how to wire in the 2000 ?
or would it be easier to just drop a 350/350 down in her thats carborated...
come on now i knw some one has done this swap before
350 will work but its a pain as well. just sell the motor from the 2000 and have the 95 rebuilt. Or just smallblock it
i knw its a tight fit but damn i dont wanna spend no more money...i got a project that needs to get underway...
if you wanna put that 2000 motor in your truck
you'll hafta run the newer model 98+ transmission, the new wiring harness, computer, and take the time to swap EVERYTHING
ehhh i'm not sure how different the 1st gen is from the 2nd gen but me and my dad dropped a 355 in my 90 s10 and it was cake. Got the new motor mounts, yanked the computer (cause it was carbed) plumbed it and it was a done deal. i can't imagine the two models being that different in the engine bay but i could very well be wrong
