my 85 chevy full size lower a-arms hit the ground before the frame, how do i fix this???????? please help.

Dont bother with the x-member, z the frame its way less complicated and doesnt mess with the suspension geometry. Plus you can go lower with a z!

do a droped crossmember, it's much easier whe you think about it. if you z the frame you have to worry about motor to cab clearance issues along with pinion angles change, exhaust routing, all that sh*t, it you crossmember notch it all you need to worry about is maybe some steering column clearance to the upper arms. And no it doesn't mess with the geometry, it just moves the whole front suspension up. check out this link it'll tell you all you need to know.

if i z it do i still need drop spindles and when i z it i have to drop the front frame horns ive all ready droped him 3" for my body drop how far down do i go when i z the frame

the raised crossmember when done properly wont affect suspension geometry at all.

either was is just as good and just as hard. plus cut a little off the bottom the frame under the cab and have it lay rocker with no body drop.
