dunno if they are different now, but i swapped out a set on a truck awhile back because they were sticking when it got cold, not even freezing.

mine stuck a little but only because they were really wet due to a full water trap. Ive used them in below freezing temps in NH and it was butter.

love my smcs 5 years on the chrysler, 1 1/2 on the s10, no water trap either!

ive got a 3/8" one that sticks from time to time when it gets under 40 deg. but thats it. ive heard its kinda common on the 3/8" models, but the 1/2" i havnet had any probs with. 2 years no water trap. havent even pulled them apart for cleaning.
