I have been lookin around and trying to decide what size tire to put with them???i have seen everything from a 245/35/20 255/35/20.so what i am asking is....explain to me what the 245/35 is. 245 is the width in mm and then the 35 is the percentage of the 245 that the sidewall is. so the sidewall for that tire would be 35% of 245.

245 = width (the higher, the wider)
35 = Series of tired, meaning height
I believe this is true, not a wheel expert but yeah I am pretty sure it's close

the first set is width in milimeters the second set is sidewall in precentage of the width ie: 30% 35% so 245mm being 9.64 inches and 35% is 3.37 inches so 245/35 is 9 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches
the first three sets of numbers are the tire size, the last numbers are the height of the tire which is most important to us with lowered trucks. Hope this helps with height anyway.

big joe is right, the first number is the tread width, the second number is a percentage of the first number.
