ok in auto on or off or cold it still runs no matter what ill have to ask her about emergency...and i guess it will have to wait to take it out the the wall shell hurt herself...lol...oyeah and the temp reading is normal like 86 cause the heat is coming out all the time

i would tell her to find the swithc for the indoor unit, it should be located either on it or very close to it. this will keep her content for a while.

well what Mike said for temporarily til she can get a tech out, she's going to have to turn it on and off at the breaker, I wouldn't have her take anything apart if she doesn't know what she's doing.
