Can pumps be mounted upsidedown? I want to mount them under my crossmember so they are out of the way but still easy to get to.
they would probably have a better chance of leaking because the holes for the fittings we be on the bottom. other than that i dont know.
You could, but the pickup for the hydraulic fluid is on the bottom naturally then when u flip it upside down the pickup would be at the top, so to fix this flip the pump head over so that is at top at its natural state, then when u mount it upside down it will be alright, got me?

Since i havent taken my pumps apart yet is the pump head inside of the tank. Will fliping the head affect the fluid getting into the block?
you will have problems if you try this. mount them right side up just build you a mount of of the cross member same thing as what you are wanting to do except they will be mounted correctlly.
