Since we're giving out stories here, I've got a story. One time I went up there (2.5 hour drive for me) and on the way there, My coil on my truck along with the harness rattled loose and I ran it over. I was able to rig it back together with a pocket knife, masking tape and a Mc Donald's bag. Yes... A Mc Donald's bag. The wires pulled out of the circuitboard on the coil so I used the pocketknife to unscrew the assembly. I twisted the ends of the wires real tight and sanwiched a piece of cardboard between both pieces and put it back tocgether. I stuffed the coil under my airbox and used the bag (along with the tape) so it could'nt vibrate back out. Don't laugh It's all I had. I was pulled over for 2 hours on Interstate 5 and NOBODY stopped. I also did'nt have AAA. It actually worked! Once I pulled into Bob and Tracy's house it was like 8 or 9 o'clock and they offered for me to spend the night. Keep in mind this was only the second time I had ever met him. We went to Mr. Lucky's in Chico that night and had a blast! The next day he let me help in the shop by tacking and grinding up some license plate boxes and cutting out pieces for taillight fillers. I remember the book he had. It was a binder with a bunch of patterns in it. (Who knows how many trucks out there have sheetmetal parts that started at that book). I also helped by boxing up some rollpans and other stuff. After the day was done he helped me fix my truck the right way and spent over an hour helping me solder the circuitboard and mounting everything back in place. I hit the road with a smile and that's how our friendship began. I'll never forget that day. I think it had alot to do with how I think of MiniTruckin' Unbeliveably, Bob and his awesome wife Tracy were the first people to teach me what the brotherhood of MiniTruckin' is all about and I'll be forever in debt for that experience. The reason I took the time to tell you this story is so all who take the time to read this will understand why Bob is such an important person to me and this culture we call MiniTruckin' Thanks for reading, and to everyone out there REMEMBER YOUR ROOTS!!!
