Yeah I agree 6K is dirty cheap for a full frame that won't take that much work on your end. But are the frames going to be built on the floor?
Twisted do you understand that if we built these on the floor what it would cost in the end. No we dont we have a plate plus adding another to our list and possibly a third

dont take what i am about to say as hate. but i work for a rail car manufactor and every single thing we design has to have fea run on it and the customer wants copys. you are saying these are properly engineered, does that mnea you guys from years of experience no what will work and what wont and thats how it was designed. or did an Engineer with his PE stamp design this or atleast signed off on it. because if a PE signs off on something as being a safe design it protects your ass if for say something does happen. I think this is a good idea just hope it works out for you. Also 6g's aint bad at all, i just ordered on monday two bare bone rail for my blazer from auto weld and they were 795 plus 125 shippin and thats no crossmembers, no suspension, not a damn thing. just between my rear end, spindles, brake kit, and rails im already at 2100. I still need alot of steel, and hiems, dom tube. ill be lucky if i only spend 6g's

well maybe engineered is a overstated word here. I myself have 15 years in building cars and trucks personally and professionally. I also worked for a Winston cup team for 2.5 years and left to build rods again. I have spent many upon many hours not only designing but building frames also. I dont want people to take me wrong I dont know everythng but I do have many customers that love our chassis. We have contacted them for statments and testimonials. I DO STAND behind our products but you also have to understand that there isnt much that can built to last a lifetime. We do have a couple of frames from years ago that still today are driven and dragged everyday. We will soon have our clip finshed with being fine tuned and will post pictures for the people see. They will be posted not only here but on our website too..

I don't see how there would be a cost difference in building a frame on a table versus the floor. Unless you factor the table cost into the frame. I just remember seeing the Blazer frame being put together on the floor.

Twisted its called time effiecency Yes you are correct on the blazer frame being built on the floor. We had the new table right after that one.. Oh and that truck is still draggin daily in Alabama

I'm not doubting you. I was just wondering if you guys moved to a table. I saw Gumby's truck was on a table, I think. I was just thinking, if I was going to try this, I'd want to be able to bolt down a jig for any truck and just bust out a frame. Wouldn't be too easy on the ground. Lol.

It is a really good idea and it has worked for hotrodders. My grandfathers getting ready to order a complete frame for his 32 coupe. Now granted hotrodders "somtimes" do have more money to spend (the reason morrison and other companies sell so many frames). But I think 6000 is a good bargain. If i wasnt gonna build my own id ben checking into buying one.
