Miller won't do antyhing about it. I talked ot them, they only give suggestions, about the same as you guys.

Anyways, my new gas valve finally came in. And just in time I thought, because I couldn't get any gas flow. Before I could tack everything in place at least, and borrow a friends welder to finish it up. So I replace it, and I'm getting the same results.

I just got off the phone with Miller, they helped me troubleshoot the problem. He had me check a dozen different things. Mostly the connections for the gas line, from the tank to the tip of the welder. Checked every connection, and everything is just fine. And it gets gas at the tip now, and the valve stays open, but it still welds like no gas. I turned the check valve up to about 40 and it didn't make a difference. He said its likely that there is a problem with the hose somewhere internally. He said they would not replace it, but the place I bought it from or a local service center may replace it.

No one wants to do warrantee work on it, everyone wants about $300 for a new gun. Fuck, for that price I could get a new Tweeco gun and probably not have these problems again. Fucking shit. So I'm going to try to borrow my friends Miller again tonight and swap out the gun and see if it will weld. If it doesn't, I'm going to set this mother fucker on fire.

I've never had any problems with any other Miller welders. Had a few at work. My friends is 10 years old and still doing great. I think I just have really shitty luck.

I would be raising hell with the place you bought it at. Should it not be under warranty?

I called them about noon and the warrantee guy didn't answer his phone so I left a message. Thats abotu an hour and a half ago, haven't heard back yet. I want them to send me a new gun, and pay for the valve.

Like I said, I checked over every inch of that line, several times.
