so i may have missed this at some point, but if I put the overload spring on the bottom it helps prevent the main spring from bending, and if its on top it helps DE-ARCH the spring. so which WOULD be safer, on bottom or top?

IMO it is deffinately safer @ the bottom (overload). I did the rear drop exactly like this thread here but it made the frame sit on the axle and the main spring didn't look so happy under all that weight In the end I put the overload back under and added another leaf back into the pack. Not as low as before but i like how it sits. I'm gonna use the truck for work so it has to be kinda comfy

@briandahawaiian actually that HELPED alot i didnt want to mess with it too much, for safety reasons, but now feel comfortable enough to leave it on the bottom!

very good write up, i did this install successfully today, thanks for sharing your knowledge, my only problem now i s how i ran my exhaust above the axle it hits but i am going to re do the exhaust soon so no biggy, with indexed torsion bars and 2 inch blocks i leveled out pretty good and low with stock tires barely tucking, i recommend this to anyone trying to lower their truck its easy

Question.... My truck has the leaf spring pin welded to the axle. Do I cut this off so it fits in the block? I would have to put the block upside down so the "nub" fits in the leaf springs. Anyone run into this yet??

I've never seen this before... I've lowered 10+ trucks.... Nissian's, Izuzu's and Mazda's.... None have had this.... Im pissed.

Never mind im dumb.... I just had to twist the hell out of the pin for it to come lose. They always fell out before...
