I had a rear wheel come off an S15 YEARS ago...running Camaro wheels with the WRONG lug nuts ( I was young )....drivers rear wheel JUST LIKE YOU SAID...few seconds of vibration and then the drum was on the ground....my first time dragging! LOL

ok trying to understand this. if you take and grind off the tabs to put chevy rims on and put lugs that are lug centric (chevy lugs) will that be fine or not?? read that on here sometime ago.

I have seen many people do this with NO problems but there seems to have been instances where this has failed. I personally do not see how it could but I am FAR from an expert. Mine is doing just fine.

only about a month, friend did his 2 or so years ago and rode on that for over a year, he did another friends Mazda when he bagged it ( and installed some Z71 wheels ) and he drives that truck all the time....it was done, ....6 months to a year back.....btw...my perception of time sucks! lol

ok so if i grind my tabs off can i still use the stock lug studs or do i need to get some new ones and what kind do i need to get

Same studs... but you need different lug nuts... the bulge style ones with a shoulder on them.

ok thanks 1 more qustion what size tires do i need to run with my Z71 wheels i work at wal-mart part time while i am in school and the lowest profile tire we have in stock is a 215/60/16 THANKS AGAIN CHRIS

I'm gotta run some 205/40/16s, because I have some newer ones laying around. You might want a little bit taller but not 60 series. I don't know what everyone else runs.

i run 205 /40/16
