What exactly is the purpose of cuttin/rewelding the upper arm? I am unclear. To have less camber? Cuz when I get my mazda, I am gonna bag it on 22s so Ima need camber to clear the fenders, so would I need to do this? And I need to flip the upper and lower bjs right? Thanks for the write up! Explained alot

Cutting the upper arm reangles the balljoint so that it doesnt bind when laying out. It will give you more camber. Youll need to do this, get drop spindles and flip the lower balljoint at least for the 22's. Flipping the upper balljoint doesnt really do anything.

I have 15" pathfinder rims. I am bagging the front and had a question about the upper control arm cut. To get it to bend after cutting, do you need to hook the LCA back up and lower down on the rim? It was a little unclear to me on how you get it to bend when lowering the truck.

You shouldnt need to cut the upper arm with 15's , unless your running a pretty massive tire. After you cut it you bolt it back on and jack the whole wheel assembly back up and it should bend.

Yea you'd have to hook everything back up n when you lower it back down it'll push on it and bend the arm up, then tack it up, then you can jack the truck back off, take the wheel off and weld it up solid

flgatorsrule....
if you are planning to run 22's all around.... i would suggest reasearching your wheels try to find a 22x8-22x8.5 with at least a + 30 offset and you will tuck relatively easy (just roll your fender lips and it will slide by with at least 1/2" all around)

dev.. didn't mean to jack the thread just wanted to let him know a lil something before he got into a huge can of worms..........lol

but here on this tech write up they are polar opposite?
