Thanks you've finally cleared it up for me.

Just by looking at the pics it looks like it gives you about an 1" drop? Is that about right?

i just did the same thing like this the other day on my truck. this was a great write up and i say that if i didnt know what to do this would definately help. the only thing i have to say to do differently is that instead of breaking the upper ball joint loose and busting it, just unbolt it from the upper arm. its just three bolts. its easier and it doesnt ruin the ball joint. just my 2cents.

nice.. now i can go out there and know exactly what to do.. thanks

you have to remove the ball joint from the spindle other wise youll never be able to unbolt and and bolt it on the top of the upper control arm i said to use the pickle fork not to hit the ball joint not sure what you were tryingto say but you have to remove the ball joint from the spindle and the pickle fork is the easist way

good job.

The only thing I would change is to make sure the upper balljoint sits nicely on top and doesn't wiggle. I never flipped my uppers personally, so I wouldn't know.

Also, recommend to use new grade 8 bolts for the lower balljoint. If those bolts were overtorqued at some point, they will break easily being 10+ years old.
