well a standard bodydrop is where u move the floor of the cab and bed up 2or3 or what ever inches and a stock floor is a custom frame from the fire wall back to drop the body to the ground so ur floor is not raised so u dont loose head room.

in a nutshell, a traditional bodydrop is done by cutting out the floor of the cab which sits on the body mounts on the frame, then dropping the rest of the cab around the floor and frame and welding the floor back to the cab, so when you open the door theres a step, you lose headroom and foot room this way but ur still layin body!!

a stockfloor bodydrop is basically making the frame shorter under the cab so the body sits lower without raising the cab floor, only the tranny tunnel and many times other parts of the floor need to be modified but the end result is more room inside the truck. this usually required more work because in most cases removing the cab is required along with frame work, if you shorten the frame too much structural problems come into play so research before you go building a frame out of straight 2x2 or something.

I am not a fan of conventional floor bodydrops Im 6'7" so I may be partial. Not only do I think a big 3-4 inch "curb" on the inside of your cab is just wrong. Some people say a stock floor is harder to do and they're right. But It's not always more work. If you build everything in the right order and use certain techniques, you can pull it off in the same time period. Also another part of a bodydrop that I feel is massivly overlooked is the front core support. All trucks being bodydropped with a stock front clip must drop the front frame mounts behind the radiator. Depending on what truck you have the mounts are'nt always dropped down the same as the cab. Most bodydrops are dropped down in a wedge shape. It's not like sectioning a body where you take exactly 2-3" out of the beltline around the whole body. Also, before starting the drop, the frame should definitly lay out first.
