well i bought a 302 today (used) i need to know where to get the motor mounts for a ranger ? im also gettin rid of the efi and puttin carb on there ! any issues i need to look out for while doin this swap?

me and my brother call thos 30twice or "three-0-twice" that should be plenty in a Ranger.

we call the smallblock chevy a boat anchor, or window fan motor.. lol

you'll be happier w/ a aod i bet, you can gear up the rear end and still get decent gas mileage w/ that overdrive. I love my c4, but gas sucks

Trans dapt has a really good mount kit for 83-92 Rangers. There are 2 options for it the part #'s are 9736 or 9716. you will have to modify the air box where your heater fan mounts & depending on what you use for exhaust manifolds possibly notch the frame a little. It's not too hard of a swap actually. Mine went in quite easily.

I found an AOD out of an 88 Thunderbird for my 302. I paid $125 to the junk yard for it, and $600 to have it rebuilt with a shift kit.

As for motor mounts, we bought ones for an Explorer, used them for measurements, then fabbed them up out of steel tubing, etc...

The carb should swap right over, but I hope you got a big fuel cell!
