Brake Line Leak

I have a small hole in a brake hardline, the short one coming off the T behind my axle, going to the passenger side. Would it be safe to cut it, and use a compression fitting to repair it? If so.. do any of you by any chance happen to know off hand the size of those lines on a 93 Yota? It's at my dad's house where I noticed it and I might have a chance to get a ride into town before being able to measure it. If not I'll use a caliper and find out. Any help is appreciated!

compressions say not for use on brake lines. but in a pinch itll work fine. just make your cuts straight and true.

i would probably just rebuild the line in the near future. its like $4.00 for a length of hardline and itll take like 10 mins max to bend it up. just be careful not to pinch it.

as to what size it is...no clue. sorry.

also, the parts store should be able to tell you the dia of the hardline.

ricky, you can also go to the junkyard and grab a brake line from another truck and swap it right in. i would do whatever is easiest for you. ive built alot of brake lines....its not to hard to do. just take your time when you flare the ends

Damn, that woulda been great.. I appreciate the offer anyway! I guess tomorrow after working with my grandpa vinyl siding a house.. I'll borrow someones truck and ride to a junkyard. The junkyards around here within the 30 minute range try to rip people off though lol
