well its time for a new compressor. the thomas 4101 (the big guy) just isnt cuttin it anymore. im lookin for something that doesnt take 2 days to fill up a 5 gal. tank. im asking for opinions since they have some new compressors out such as the viar 460 and the air-zenith.
i take it you're not wanting to go engine driven? that would fill a 5 gallon real quick.
thought about it but i havent decided yet....
the viair 380 is a good compressor....the air-zenith hasnt been on the market long enough to have a trust worthy name.
But engine driven is always nice...or an oasis if you got the cash
i have viair 450 for 2 and a half years and no problems.
We just installed a couple air zeniths and it's amazing! We could actually watch the air guage needle turn as the air pumped it up to 200 psi in less than 2 mins!!!
I RUN A VIAIR 500 AND DON'T MIND IT OR MAYBE ITS A 550 WHICH EVER IS 33% DC AND MOISTURE AND DUST PRROF. BUT MY VOTE GOES FOR THE OASIS ITS PROVEN ITSELF AND I HEARD THE AIR ZENITH DRAWS ALOT OF POWER.
air zenith is the way dude. we just installed one on a five gallon and its crazy fast.
mikes right it was funney shit to watch the gauge move that fast with comps but the air zeniths are the way to go
anyone know how hard it would be to fit an engine driven under the hood of a body dropped nissan? pics?
