there riviots that hold the metal in place
no those are called clecos. They hold the metal in place while you install fasteners or weld it in place. You drill a hole in two or more pieces of metal and put a cleco in the hole to keep it all from getting mis-aligned, until you get the two or more pieces bonded together.
rivets are fasteners that get shot and bucked, or you can stick a pull rivet in it and pull it with a gun.
It looks pretty sweet anyway!
how big are the holes you have to drill to use them? i like the concept, but finishing it w/ that many holes would be a pain!
The ones I used in that application require a hole 1/8" in diameter. They are ured to attatch the floor to the substucture. I enlarge the sheet metal hole to 3/16 before welding and leave the 1/8" hole in the substructure...starting my weld in the center of the 1/8" hole
hey tucking20's any updated pics on your car i'm dying to see the progress
ther better used if u punch the hole instead of drillin that way u dont distort the metal to bad...

I got them in 1/8 + 3/16 you can get them in a bunch of sizes. The were made for aircraft building, at least thats what i was told. Got mine from our Mac Tools guy.
