I need help ASAP!!!

I was changing the alternator on my 96'silverado, whats the trick into loosening the belt so i can remove the alternator?I know theres some kind of bolt or something thats supposed to make it easir to remove. HELP ME OUT PLEASE!

U probabley have a tensioner pully that u have to push down on so that it will give u slack in the belt

there is a tensioner with a 5/8 head on it.It's one of the smallest pulleys and is almost the same size as the alternator pulley.wrench on it ina clockwise fashion and it will loosen the belt hold it in place and remove the belt.
