So i took my 4 cyl. 1994 ranger to a performance mustang place here in MA because ive heard good things, turns out the guy is a miserable prick, ends up saying to me"be realistic im, im not gonna deal with a 17 yr old with no cash, ive got people droppin 20grand PLUS on stuff i cant waste my time answerin your unrealistic dreams" so now im piss cuz this guys a d!ckhead..alse i asked was what it would cost to do a 5.0 or a turbo .3 swap into my truck...so after he was done being a dickhead, he then told me to do a 5.0 swap, id have to bring him my ranger, a running 5.0 mustang, and he swap it over, for 5GRAND!!!! Is that too much guys? sorry for the longness, but im not in the best mood because of this prick........

even if he said he would do it for free i wouldn't go there after he treated you like that.
get it done somwhere else and then take it there and tell him how he could have made some cash off you if he wasn't such a knob.

BTW, 5 grand doesn't sound too steep. Of course, there's a that could effect how "good" of a price this is (referring to the quality of work that is done).

I think that's high as hell to swap in a motor your providing. But then again, I have NO idea what's involved in doing that to a ranger.

i think all you have to do is change the motor mounts and tranmission crossmember to make it work,is it a F.I. motor or carb?i'd say try and find a book on it,make friends with a good mechanic and see if he can't help u out,or ask him the question

i heard they are easy too. they make a motor mount kit to fit the 5.0 in a ranger. shouldnt be that much. then its all about the transplant. goodluck
