New chick with old skool roots

Laying - I'm in Margate, I've been here since March '03.

Toreador - There's a scene in NH, it's just not as commercial as it is down here. Up there it's not so much about how much you spent, as it's about how many times you busted up your hands trying to get that part in, or how many hours of sleep you spent in the garage so you could finish that drop, or how close you cut it to missing the show so you could finish. It's more than just racking up a credit card bill up there...it's about the time and effort you put into your ride. It's about the pride you have when you show off that ride, and it's about the family that you have up there in the car/truck clubs. It's not as big, but it seems to run deeper up there than it does down here.

P.S. - Jon's right...they're up there. You just gotta know where to look. It's been there forever. I was in there at the beginning when we were all running tri-stars and vinyl (and it was COOL, not ricey at that time!!!). lol...Olllllld Skooooooool.

Wow...I didn't realize that there were so many Chris's that respond to this one thread!! And 954 I wasn't trying to start any trouble with you....just thought the story sounded kind of fishy. Welcome to SSM!!ChrisTexas

ohhh....no no no, you didn't start trouble, it's cool. I just feel very strongly when it comes to the scene. It's my roots, so if I come across like a bitch sometimes it's just cause I'm trying to get the point across about how important it all is to me. ::hugs:: we're cool, don't sweat it. Me and steve know there is a scene, but its definately as big as fl tx or ca for instance. Were in keene for school now but im from outside springfield MA and hes from ct so there are bigger scenes down there then in NH, I hope to see ya at some shows next summer.

Oh, you'll definitly see me at shows next summer. I can't WAIT!!!!
