+35 offset is 35 mm. there are 25mm in an inch so it's 1.4" positive offset. 8.5" wide midpoint is 4.25". Add 4.25" plus the 1.4" offset and you've got about 5.65" backspacing.

keep in mind that an 8.5" wide wheel is actually 9" wide edge to edge. so if your crammed for space...make sure you add at least 1/4" to that number

yeah its all good, i talked to a dude on here that has 22x8.5 w/ 5.75"s of backspacing and his fit nice. bagdx i think is his name. if the wheels i ordered wont fit bc they are 5.65 ill have the hubs shaved a bit. itll be close i think
