Well my brother layed out his ranger today, it is roughly 4 1/2 inches to bottom of rocker, what is the average body drop done on 83-92 rangers, and any other tips on doin this to make it a little easier maybe?

Well, I'm assuming he still has the stock crossmembers under the truck as in the Radius Arm Mounts and Tranny cross member. If you replace those with the relocted and raised ones from www.suicidedoors.com it would make much less of a body drop required to lay that rocker flat. I haven't b/d my ranger yet, or measured how close it is to the ground now, so I can't help much more than I've already tried. GOOD LUCK! And lets see some pictures!

Yeah, the X's are crappy, try uploading the pictures at imageshack or photobucket.

I guess mine is still 4" or more from the rocker, I just never measured.

i dont think there is an "average"

just get the truck to lay flat first and then, if your going traditional, cut out everywhere you need to on the cab and let it hit the floor.

It already has a tranny X-member and dont need a radius arm X-member because I have heim joints on the ends of the radius arms. The radius arms attach like a 4 link would, off the side of the frame. so thats out of the way now, whats next? I know ill gain a little drop when I remove the tranny X-member brackets and flip the tranny X-member.
