L.E.D Tail lights

I was thinking about getting some LED taillights for my truck, then thought about making some..I came up with this:Get some plastic, like plexi or lexan, mark it all out in whatever shape you wanted the light to be, drill holes for the led's to mount in, glue em in, and just wire them all up to the wiring thats there for the tail lights and turn signals now???

i think you should just by them. that sounds like a lot of work
