We are going to build a sheet metal floor for my bed, and I was wondering what is the best (not most expensive) way to build a ilt bed o n a 96 sonoma( with a frame from a 2000 s10. include pictures if you have them
ifcustoms did a pretty cool setup for a sidetilt bed on a sonoma. a bag lifted a lever that slid in a track on the bottom side of the bed. there are pics on there site.
there was a guy from our tri-cities (no longer) chapter that had a cool dual bag setup for his tilt bed wasn't much to it less chance of something going wrong and it still looked good
how about with heavy duty actuators
a couple airshocks will do the same thing, and save you alot of $
i used an air cylindar on mine. there are a few pics on my profile. they dont show the cylindar because the truck is still be worked on. I think the cylindar was 14 inch stroke
id post a pic but i am not sure how
mine used air bags, a shock for stability and a cadillac trunk latch to hold it in place.
Ive always loved your truck and the tilt bed ernie. I am gonne be putting a tilt bed on my frontier, not sure which way it will tilt yet though.
