I know this an age-old question, but what type of link setup would be best for this 720? I plan on it being a well-driven truck and I want it to be reliable. I've already had a 4-link on my Mazda and had thought about something different. My question is...Is that gonna be my best bet? Is a Watts link gonna be worth my time?
i would say any forward 4-link setup. the cando setup is the only reverse setup i would tolerate. theyve done a lot of R&D on thier products.
you must think about what you expect from the system to really decide whats best for your truck
a tri-4 with rod ends will last damn near forever. it will give side to side articulation, but isnt best for hitting crazy sides.
a parallel 4-link w/ a watts link and a wishbone 3-link are all great for side to side action.
then you must think about how much lift you want and what kind of ride.
for instance, high lift or soft ride, youd want to mount the bags on the bars.
if lift or ride isnt an issue, bags over axle is great for simplicity.
sorry for the book, but id like to see you get exactly what you want the first time around.
