i was just wondering if anyone had any pics of their truck or cars with just black or any other color primer with a clear coat over it
why clear coat a primer? so you can have a flat look but still be shiny? use a base coat clear coat method with a flattening agent in the clear if you're wanting a satin/flat finish. im just guessing thats what you're looking for
what would be the point of that? either run primer, or run base w/ satin/flat clear coat... i can't imagine someone wanting shiny primer though....
^^^ damn, two seconds too slow i guess lol
it depends on what you want primer aint going to change no matter what you do. if you put clear over it the clear wont have any adhesion to the primer first time you wash it, the clear will peel right off, sikkens makes a large assortment of colored primers pretty much any color you want.. if you clear primer you'll just be waisting money... hot hues by dupont make flat single layers if your going for the flat look. that would be your best bet..
spray that thing with guidecoat
so clear coat doesnt stick to primer? wasnt gonna try it.. just found that interesting
